Daniel Negreanu wants poker sites to ban Ali Imsirovic, who is accused of cheating

In a tweet on Wednesday, Daniel Negreanu said that Ali Imsirovic is still up to his dirty tricks and asked that the high roller be banned from all poker sites and card rooms.

Last year, the 2021 GPI Player of the Year, along with Jake Schindler, was temporarily banned from PokerGO Tour events. He was accused of working together with other people during live poker tournaments and of using online tools for real-time assistance (RTA).

As part of an RTA crackdown, there are rumors that high-stakes crusher Imsirovic will be permanently banned from GGPoker. This is because of the allegations against him over the past year. The Poker Integrity Council (PIC) at GGPoker was set up last summer to look into any online cheating claims. Jason Koon, who is an ambassador for the poker site, is in charge of the PIC.

Does Imsirovic still lie?
On a case-by-case basis, some players who were banned at first were given a second chance to come back to the poker site. The PIC, on the other hand, did not think that Imsirovic should be brought back. If what Negreanu said in his recent tweet is true, it looks like the council made the right choice.

Our sources tell us that Imsirovic has been playing poker on sites that aren’t regulated because he can’t compete on major sites that are regulated, like GGPoker. He seems to be back to his old ways, like using RTAs and keeping more than one account.

Negreanu said in the tweet that the man accused of cheating at poker is “not sorry and is actually bragging about robbing former friends.” He also said that his former opponent in a high-stakes game was “probably beyond redemption at this point.”

Hendon Mob says that Imsirovic has won more than $18 million in live tournaments. He is only 28 years old. Before all the cheating accusations came out, he was definitely on his way to the Poker Hall of Fame.

In 2022, Alex Foxen was the first well-known poker player to say that Imsirovic and Schindler were cheaters. Soon after Foxen called for a “poker blacklist,” Chance Kornuth and others did the same.

Negreanu is still doing the same thing almost a year later, but he isn’t the only one who wants to see changes in the poker community. Matt Berkey and Mike Matusow are two more poker players who responded to “Kid Poker’s” tweet.

“We have all been pretty quiet about the latest rumors. I think people who run websites need to take a long, hard look in the mirror. We need to get MA under control, the KYC protocols on the gray and black markets need a huge makeover, and AI-based RTA detection is a must “Berkey typed.

“We should all bow down to him and give him a prize!” Matusow sent a sarcastic tweet.

What Is He Said to Have Done?

Imsirovic and Schindler are said to have been involved in a poker cheating scandal that involved using RTAs online, having more than one account, and working together at live high-stakes games. The GGPoker ban is the most damaging piece of hard evidence that the public knows about against the accused.

Both GGPoker and PokerStars, which is a competitor, have made it harder to use multiple accounts and RTAs. These sites are heavily regulated, while one site where Imsirovic is said to have been playing recently, Americas Cardroom (ACR), is not regulated and, in theory, more likely to be cheated on.

GGPoker caught Imsirovic using RTAs, which give online poker players an unfair edge. Real-time help tools are not only frowned upon by both professional and casual poker players, but they are also against the rules on most poker sites.

If a player has an RTA, which helps them make the right choice in any situation, they might be almost impossible to beat. With RTAs, even a beginner poker player could beat a crusher.

This year, neither Imsirovic nor Schindler have been seen at any live poker tournaments, and it’s not clear how long the PokerGO Tour ban will last. But despite the harsh accusations, they both took part in many major events in 2022. Schindler even won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet last summer, which didn’t make many poker players happy. He didn’t want to talk to the media, which wasn’t a big surprise.
